Auditory Processing

Central Auditory Processing Disorder (or CAPD) is an umbrella term for difficulties hearing or understanding sounds that do not result from hearing loss. CAPD testing can only be used to diagnose CAPD in individuals 7 years or older. CAPD testing can provide valuable information about what/how you are struggling with auditory processing and allow us to formulate a therapeutic program to help improve processing.

Tinnitus

Do you hear a buzzing, ringing or whistling sound in your ears? You may have tinnitus. Tinnitus is a common condition that affects millions of people in the U.S. Commonly known as “ringing in the ears,” tinnitus affects everyone differently and can range from mildly annoying to debilitating.

While no one tinnitus treatment can stop ringing in the ears, there are management options that can help reduce the severity of symptoms.

Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation, also known as biofeedback or neurofeedback, is a therapy designed to provide real-time information about your body's signals to reinforce and/or reduce different types of physiological activity.  We utilize Neuromodulation for our patients dealing with bothersome tinnitus and those dealing with sound sensitivity issues, including misophonia.

finely tuned.
